Fight Bladder Cancer on The Pilgrim's Way
Peter Hore
My Story
Two and half years after radical cystectomy, followed by UTI, sepsis and lymphocele (and two admissions to hospital under blue lights) and a colonoscopy, my consultant has moved me from half-yearly to annual check-ups. I feel a black cloud has been lifted and to celebrate and to raise funds for Fight Bladder Cancer: Support - which has been a very valuable source of information, friendship and support - I am going to attempt to walk along the ancient Pilgrim's Way between Winchester and Canterbury starting on 12 June. My message to everyone still on the path which I have been along is: never give up!
