Thursday 15th April and we're all set up!
Thank you to everyone who has donated to this page so far, your wonderful support is very much appreciated and will keep the three of us training hard during lockdown! All money given is transferred to the charity each fortnight and will be put to immediate use to help those affected by bladder cancer, so thank you for making this possible.
Sid, Andy and Kerim are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge for Fight Bladder Cancer and they need YOUR support!
On Thursday 15th and Saturday 17th April they are EACH aiming to virtually climb the Three Peaks, which is approx 37km, more than 50,000 steps! Using two StairMasters and a treadmill, the trio will climb the varied heights of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - a total of 1,474 flights!Thursday 21st January Wednesday 24th March
The team will be taking on this challenge at the Bfit Lincs gym in Caistor, so come along and give them some support!
Sid was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2018 and is currently undergoing treatment, including regular cystoscopies and scans. Throughout his treatment he has attended classes at the gym and has found that it has provided a huge sense of support for both his fitness and mental health. Bladder Cancer is the most expensive cancer for the NHS to treat; it has the highest rate of recurrence and often means that a patient will be monitored for a long period of time.
The money they're raising is going to Fight Bladder Cancer, the national patient-led charity for everyone affected by the disease. It's the 5th most common cancer in Europe and more than 20,000 people are diagnosed with it in England each year.
Please donate and support their efforts today - you can give to this page, or to donate £5 via your mobile bill, text THREEPEAKS to 70085 - thank you!
