MAY IS BLADDER CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

While I’m on lockdown I will be undertaking this fun ‘fundraiser’ and I encourage you all to give it a go too! Please support us – this year, more than ever, we need your help. I am a cancer survivor but, looking back at that time, I could have just rolled the dice of life itself. I didn’t know which way ‘living’ was going to go for me. Would I get a good ‘outcome’ or not? I was so fortunate to get support from FIGHT BLADDER CANCER. Above all, the charity team helped me realise that I was not alone.

During lockdown no doubt you have been playing games with your family. We found some games – the games we found brought it all back home to me when I heard my diagnosis. I was ‘Speechless’, I didn’t have a ‘Cluedo’ where life was taking me, Couldn’t make sense
of this, So many words Scrabbling through my mind…Was I going to be lucky? Were the dice of life going to be loaded in my favour? So, for this challenge you need 2 dice, your dice roll can make a huge difference to FIGHT BLADDER CANCER. Once you have your dice, you are ready to begin this fun fundraising challenge!!

1. FIRSTLY, THIS IS IMPORTANT: Please, video yourselves doing this, wear something orange, be creative, maybe dress up in fancy dress and make it fun. Your videos will be shared across FIGHT BLADDER CANCER social media. The funniest ones will get a special mention. Please use the hashtag #RollTheDiceForFBC
2. OK, so roll your dice. This will give you two numbers. Your donation can be made from any variation. You can have the combined total. For example, if you roll a 2 and 5, you will have a total of 7. You can multiply them, 2 times 5 will give you 10, or you can also take them in turn, e.g. 2 and 5 make 25, or 5 and 2 can be 52.
3. Translate that into £££’s and there is your donation amount – £7, £10, £25 or £52, depending on how generous you feel! If you are feeling really generous, why not stick a nought on the end? Every member of your lockdown household can have a go and maybe you could make a combined donation?
4. BUT REMEMBER, please, have fun with the video and share it. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #RollTheDiceForFBC
5. And last, but not least make a donation using this link: https://giving.fightbladdercancer.co.uk/cf/rolling-the-dice then share it on LinkedIn,
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, wherever you can, we need your help, thank you.

Please take time to read, you never know when you or a loved one may need information. Just by being AWARE you are supporting us.
