Fight Bladder Cancer is a UK patient and carer-led charity for people affected by bladder cancer. 18,000 new cases of bladder cancer are diagnosed annually in England alone, making it the 5th most common cancer.

Despite this, bladder cancer remains under-funded and lacks the awareness and research of other cancers. The survival rate for bladder cancer has not improved in 20 years!

In 2009, the charity’s founder was diagnosed with bladder cancer and found that, despite its prevalence, there was limited support for patients and their families. The Fight Bladder Cancer Charity was subsequently born.

Ten years since inception, the Fight Bladder Charity team now works nationwide to support everyone affected by bladder cancer. This includes running an online forum with over 4,700 members, providing an informative website and telephone helpline, and raising awareness of this disease.

Great Bear and Nightingale met with the charity in July 2019 and we were inspired and humbled by their enthusiasm and passion to the cause. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that we are committed to doing what we can to support the charity in 2020.

Great Bear Healthcare will help us to reach new people, work towards earlier diagnosis, and tackle the stigma of this neglected cancer. We are extremely grateful and excited about all their fundraising activities planned this year."

Over the course of the year, we will be undertaking fundraising activities to help support the charity and the wonderful work that they do. We are ambitious about raising £3,000 for the charity and trust that our customers, colleagues and friends will help us hit this target.
